Constrictor is on the loose on the Island

A kongepyton is let out of his terrarium in Kraghave at Nykøbing Falster, informs Sydsjællands - and Lolland-Falster Police on Twitter.

According to the Randers Rainforest website is kongepytonen a little african constrictor, which rarely gets more than 1.20 meters long.

Kongepytonen is well camouflaged on the forest floor. It has a brown and black pattern, reminiscent of a forest floor with dead leaves, writes the rainforest.dk.

The escapees kongepyton on the island of Falster is about one meter long.

- It is disappeared for three-four days ago, but I don't know how it slipped out of his terrarium, say the police vagtchef Ole Hald.

According to the rain forest.dk has the snake got its name because it reportedly was used as jewelry by african kings.

Kongepytonens quiet temperament and beautiful skins made it a regular part of the kings festpåklædning - the small, beautiful pythons were simply hung around the kings neck, writes the rainforest.dk.

On Twitter stresses the police that the snake is not poisonous.

- It is NON-toxic. Call 114 if you meet 'the King', that winds, sounds.
