Brøndby break the curse despite the drama to the last second

BRØNDBY (Ekstra Bladet): For the first time in more than three years, and after five defeats in a row won the Brøndby finally over skrækmodstanderen – Esbjerg.

the 2-1 victory over the ailing vestjyder was the result of a deserved victory for the home team in the presence of 12.392 spectators. Samuel Mraz was double goal scorer before the break.

It has kept hard for Brøndby, who really has had it hard the opposite vestjyderne recent years. And towards the end left Brøndby in fact, much of the initiative to the guests. The home team came too far back on the track.

It gave the result with a quarter of an hour again, when Yuri Yakovenko scored on a header after a corner kick. And towards the end was Rudolph Austin moved forward in the front line in search of relief. The effort was however in vain for vestjyderne.

Simon Tibbling, who got the comeback after three months absence, however, was close to scoring in the final stage.

It was Brøndbys fifth victory in a row in the premier League. It started against FCK and continued with victories against Lyngby, Randers, Silkeborg and Esbjerg.

The five matches have resulted in a goal scorer at 14-4. The victory over Esbjerg leaves Niels Frederiksen's troops in a position where they have put themselves solidly in third place in the premier League.

Referee Mads Kristoffer Kristoffersen had not his best day at the ’office’. The experienced judge failed to notice what looked like two penalties before the break.

First kicked off Esbjerg hardhitter Rudolph Austin directly into the heel of Anthony Jung, but here was the flute silent.

It was a little later, as Andras Maxsø halvliggende blocked a post from Mathias Kristensen with the arm. The Esbjerg-players rightly objected, but Mads Kristoffer Kristoffersen convicted of corners.

Brøndby was spilstyrende before the break, but it was not until about the half hour, there came a hole in the abscess.

Samuel Mraz, who have scored the chance in the karantæneramte Kamil Wilczeks absence, scored his first goal for the club.

Slovakken got a returbold in the field from Rudolph Austin and kicked off the decisive pass the ball behind a stand a chance Jeppe Højbjerg.

Mraz scored again shortly after. Simon Hedlund was processed, as he smartly fell slovakken in the field. Mraz came in front of Daniel Anyembe, who was very passive, and headede the ball into the goal via the one opstander.

Brøndby was without karantæneramte Kamil Wilczek and injured Josip Radosevic.

With Mraz' two scores Niels Frederiksen is a positive problem before the next encounter against AGF, where the top scorer Wilczek returns.
