In the last 24 hours two minors have drowned in two swimming pools in the towns of San Javier (Murcia) and La Camapana (Seville).

The first drowning that has come to light has been that of a three-year-old girl who died this Wednesday in a swimming pool in the Murcian town of San Javier, as reported by 112. The event took place around 5:30 p.m. in the Collados urbanization Beach, at kilometer 18 of La Manga del Mar Menor.

The girl had been rescued semi-conscious and oxygen was applied until the arrival of the toilets, who took her by ambulance to the Santa LucĂ­a hospital in Cartagena, where she finally died.

At more or less the same time, a two-year-old boy drowned in a private pool in the Seville town of La Campana in circumstances that are still unknown.

The Civil Guard has confirmed the death, which occurred around 4:30 p.m., at which time 112 received a call asking for urgent help for a child who could not breathe.

The notice came from a house located about 500 meters from the town center of the Seville municipality.

The Emergency service even mobilized a helicopter for his transfer, but it was not possible to save his life.
