Circles wants to attract entrepreneurs in a luxury coliving

Barcelona's digital community has a new home. Circles House, a coliving exclusively aimed at entrepreneurs and investors specialized in technology.

The building, located in Vallvidrera, is enabled to reside and work, as well as host training sessions as well as cultural and sporting events. It has capacity for about 30 people and is aimed at a public with high purchasing power. “During my time in Silicon Valley I got to know this type of residence, called Hacker House. They are very popular there and their objective is to strengthen ties in the community and promote cultural diversity among the collective of digital nomads”, comments Enric Solé, co-founder of the business, entrepreneur and veteran investor from Barcelona (SitMobile, Gelpiu).

The project has been promoted together with his partner, Natàlia Juncosa, and several partners such as Marc Bonavia (Generalitat, SitMobile), Maria Alegre and Pepe Agell (Chartboost), Jordi Serra (Compuspar), Oscar Pierre (Glovo), Ignasi Vilajosana (Worldsensing ), Ferran Martínez (FCB basketball player), Pau Garcia-Milà (Founderz), among others.

Circles' business model is based on renting unique buildings and subletting the same space to entrepreneurs. Solé says that the company was established in 2021 and that it raised half a million euros from the partners to put the first building into operation, which opened its doors in the spring of last year. In these first months, it already welcomes about twenty tenants.

Now, Circles wants to continue growing and has launched a campaign through the crowdfunding platform Crowdcube to raise half a million more euros. "With the financing we obtained, we plan to open three more establishments in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia," says Solé, who ensures that the projects are in an advanced stage.

The idea of Circles is to become an international network of clubs equivalent to Soho House but only dedicated to professionals in the technology sector.

At the moment, with this business model, the company billed around 60,000 euros in 2022 and this year it expects to reach 400,000 euros.
