When is the March 2023 time change?

In the early morning of next Sunday, March 26, we enter the so-called summer time, advancing the clocks by one hour. At two in the morning it will be three; a change in the hands that will be noticeable not only in one more hour of sleep, but also in enjoying more hours of natural light.

It is precisely with the purpose of making the most of natural light and as an energy saving measure that time changes continue to be made. In this way, on the last Sunday of March (the 26th) we will advance the clocks by one hour: we will sleep one more hour and have more hours of natural light. All for another six months, until October 29, we delay them again.

We continue to apply the measure despite the fact that various surveys show the public's desire to put an end to these changes. There is also an agreement to suppress the measure and the European Commission is considering modifying it. In addition, sleep experts have warned of the consequences that these changes have for rest and imbalances for the organism involved.

But for now, the time change is still in effect twice a year. On October 30, we entered winter time delaying clockwise. And we will leave behind this winter schedule on March 26. The BOE includes upcoming scheduled changes (both summer and winter), at least until the year 2026:

- Sunday, March 26, 2023 (summer time)

- Sunday, October 29, 2023 (winter time)

- Sunday, March 31, 2024 (summer time)

- Sunday, October 27, 2024 (winter time)

- Sunday, March 30, 2025 (summer time)

- Sunday, October 26, 2025 (winter time)

- Sunday, March 29, 2026 (summer time)

- Sunday, October 25, 2026 (winter time)
