Two off-duty police officers intercepted a car loaded with 75 and a half kilos of marijuana in Girona. The events occurred this Wednesday night. The agents, who took turns at night, went to the police station to go to work. When they were on the highway, they saw a car driving recklessly on the AP-7 and decided to follow it.
The vehicle took the west exit of the highway, entered the Domeny neighborhood and stopped on a road without any precaution, colliding with several parked cars. When the agents opened the car, they noticed a strong odor of marijuana.
The driver, a 21-year-old Frenchman, had up to 75.5 kilos of this drug in the trunk. In addition, scattered throughout the vehicle, the young man was also wearing different false license plates.
Both police officers arrested the young man for a crime against public health. At this time, the Municipal Police is taking steps with the Frenchman to check if the vehicle with which the detainee was driving was stolen.
