The Civil Guard plans to search a farm in Manzanares (Ciudad Real) this Thursday to look for more evidence that can help clarify the disappearance of businessman Juan Miguel Isla, who lost track of him in this municipality in July 2022.
This has been confirmed to EFE by sources of the investigation who have not specified whether house searches will also be carried out in this town or in Valdepeñas, where the agricultural farm is located where they were found last Tuesday, inside a well , skeletal remains that are not yet identified.
The farm where the body appeared is owned by Antonio C.V. who was arrested, along with another man, this Tuesday for his alleged participation in the disappearance of the businessman.
This second detainee, G.R.E., has already entered provisional detention and without bail, since after going to court, he has been provisionally charged as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of homicide or murder.
Antonio C.V., a manzanareño businessman who acted as an intermediary in the sale of some land that Isla wanted to carry out, has not yet gone to court.
At the moment, the court maintains the secrecy of the judicial proceedings and the two sons of Isla are waiting for it to be confirmed whether or not the body found is that of their father, their lawyer has told EFE. Javier Campos del Burgo.
Juan Miguel Isla, 58, disappeared from Manzanares on July 21, 2022, when he was preparing to collect a significant amount of money for the sale of a farm in La Solana, also in the same province.
His vehicle, which was also not located when the man's trail was lost, was found at the end of January in an open field in Albacete, after the Civil Guard requested citizen collaboration through social networks.
Antonio CV He is also being investigated in the case of the disappearance of another Manzanares man, which occurred in 2019 and with whom he would also have acted as a mediator for the sale of several vehicles.
