The Barcelona Metro welcomes the testimony of migrant women through photography

The Diagonal metro station on lines 3 and 5 of the Barcelona Metro is hosting a photographic exhibition of snapshots by the artist Roger Grasas with which the aim is to convey to the public the discrimination and difficulties faced by migrant women.

The exhibition Where are you going? Dreams in a siding has been organized by the Inequalities Institute, with the support of the Catalan Development Cooperation Fund, the Cerdanyola del Vallès and Barcelona City Councils and the TMB Foundation.

Until July 2, you can see the story in images of the sixteen participating migrant women, who told their story in the first person.

The author of the exhibition, the photographer Roger Grasas, recalled at the opening of the exhibition that the current migration policies are in many cases deficient and that the initiative serves "to listen to the people reflected".

Also, the founder of the Association of Sub-Saharan Immigrant Women Bombo Ndir, has highlighted that "this photographic compilation shows the role of women in this immigration process" and "gives them a voice and, above all, visibility to express feelings and emotions as the rage that many feel when the road is closed after the long journey".
