'Spring' with sun and more than 30 degrees in the Mediterranean

'Spring' with sun and more than 30 degrees in the Mediterranean

The Mediterranean area will have a 'spring' time this Sunday with lots of sun and temperatures that will exceed 30 degrees in some areas, while it will rain in Galicia, the Cantabrian façade and the Pyrenees.

The prediction of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), indicates that this Sunday - the first day of summer time - the passage of an Atlantic front is expected that will bring clouds to the extreme north of the peninsula, where it will rain, with less probability in Galicia and more in the eastern Cantabrian area and the Pyrenees.

In the northeast of Catalonia, cloudiness of daytime evolution will tend to form and some scattered showers may appear in the afternoon.

The sun will shine on the rest of the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, although abundant low clouds are expected at the beginning of the day in the Northern Plateau and its mountainous border, as well as in the west and west of the Southern Plateau and the Balearic Islands. The Canary Islands will have some intervals of clouds in the north of the islands.

Temperatures will rise in the Mediterranean area and will do so notably on the Valencian coast (nine degrees more in Valencia compared to this Saturday and seven in Castellón de la Plana), and will drop in large areas of the interior of the peninsula, especially in its middle north.

The hottest capitals will be Murcia (32 degrees), Malaga (31) and Valencia (30), while it will be colder in Lugo (15) and A Coruña, Ávila, Oviedo, Palma, Pamplona, ​​Santander, Segovia and Vitoria (16 ).

On the other hand, winds from the west will blow turning northwest in the peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with a north wind in the Ebro and west in Alborán. Strong intervals are expected on the coasts of northern Galicia, the Bay of Biscay and southern Catalonia. And there will be moderate trade winds in the Canaries.
