Snow, bitter temperatures ahead Friday, rain Sunday: Northeast Ohio weekend weather outlook Mar. 3-5

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ready to look ahead to the weekend? Friday, some lake effect snow showers could kick in, with up to 2 inches accumulation by morning and morning and a half-inch more the rest of the day. Wind chills will take a significant dip into the teens in the morning, and into the upper 20s in the afternoon.

Saturday, the sun will finally peek out again, but the bitter temperatures will stick around another day. Sunday, the next round of showers will return.

The How

Some lingering moisture and instability from a passing cold front Thursday evening will continue to spark showers through the first half of Friday. High pressure will then push the front out for Saturday, drying the skies out significantly, leading to precipitation chances less than 10 percent.

Sunday, temperatures and rain chances will bump up again because of a warm front.
