A sinkhole 20-feet-wide shut down a busy west-end street in Toronto on Friday afternoon.

Police say they got a call about the hole at 4:30 p.m.

The sinkhole, located near Morningside Ave. and South Kingsway, is believed to have been caused by a water main break in the area.

Morningside Ave. has been closed while city workers assess the damage.

Police believe it will be closed throughout the night, but it could be longer if the hole has caused a gas leak.

No injuries have been reported, but a truck did require Jokerbet a tow when it got stuck in the hole earlier in the afternoon.
