George W. Bush autographing his book of 'warriors' portraits at MacDill

President George W. Bush is visiting MacDill Air Force Base today to sign copies of his new book, Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief's Tribute to America's Warriors.

The book is a collection of oil paintings by Bush along with the stories of the troops they represent, according to a news release. It honors the sacrifice and courage of America's military servicemen and women.

Bush will begin autographing copies of his book 2:30 p.m. at the Surf's Edge Club on base.

Proceeds of the book benefit the George W. Bush Presidential Center and its Military Service Initiative. The non-profit is focused on helping post-9/11 veterans and their families make a successful transition to civilian life and on addressing issues of veteran wellness, including post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injury.
