'Gary from Chicago' to appear on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' on Monday

A day after he stole the show at the Oscars, "Gary from Chicago" is set to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday, a representative for the late-night show said.

In between awards, Kimmel welcomed to the Oscars people he said were on a sightseeing tour of Hollywood. One man, wearing a sweatshirt and clutching a phone, introduced himself as Gary Cole from Chicago.

Kimmel introduced him to celebrities in the front row, including Ryan Gosling and Nicole Kidman, as #GaryFromChicago started trending on social media.

"I feel like you're ignoring the white celebrities," Kimmel said.

"Yes, I am," Cole said before revealing he is engaged.

Denzel Washington "married" Cole and his fiancee near the stage.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. Kiss the bride," Washington said.

"He's Denzel, so it's legal," Kimmel said.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs at 10:35 p.m. weeknights on ABC.
