Four arrested for selling fake tickets for Coldplay concerts in Barcelona

The Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested four people accused of posing as organizers to sell around the Estadi Olímpic Lluis Companys false special passes, bracelets and credentials to access Coldplay concerts in Barcelona.

According to what police sources have informed EFE, the four detainees, who were arrested yesterday and who sold at least one false pass to a victim, had prior records for similar acts.

Plainclothes agents of the Mossos detected the suspects yesterday in the surroundings of the Olympic Stadium, where Coldplay offered the first of its four concerts in the Catalan capital, for which some 200,000 tickets have been sold in total.

The four detainees supposedly impersonated the organizers to sell special passes, bracelets and false credentials to access the concert, according to the Mossos.

In fact, the Mossos have a specific device active to detect this type of situation that has allowed, thanks to the coordinated work with the organizers of the concerts, to be aware of 250 claims for false tickets so far, although the four detainees only a victim is attributed to them for now.

Faced with this situation, the Mossos have insisted on social networks on the need to buy tickets through authorized channels and distrust the sale on the street near the area where the concert is held.
