'Discovering Queen', a fascinating musical adventure for children

Led by Freddie Mercury, the British rock group Queen was one of the most legendary musical groups in history. With world-famous songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, I Want to Break Free, The Show Must Go On or Don't Stop Me Now, he reached the hearts of millions of fans in the seventies and eighties.

Since then, there have been numerous bands around the world that have decided to pay tribute to them and pass on Queen's legacy to new generations. The group Play The Game is a good example, given their faithful rock aesthetic and their careful performances that they have taken on tour throughout the country.

Through Rock en Familia, Play The Game has come to the stage of the Poliorama theater in Barcelona to present the show Discovering Queen. It is a work aimed at a children's audience and performed by Charly Bastard, Juan Acebo, Cristian Velasquez, Victor Moreno, Victor Hernández and Kikerock.

The show takes place in two parts: first, the story of Queen is explained through a story in English, which introduces the various members of the group and makes it easier for the little ones to understand the origin of this legend. In the second part it is the turn of Play The Game, who plays some of the most emblematic songs live with an impeccable staging.

It is a function that does not stop making sold outs and that, without a doubt, fosters a love for rock music from an early age and awakens nostalgia among those who already heard the powerful voice of Freddie Mercury in their youth.

The editors of the Digital School Magazine (RED) project, promoted by the youth newspaper Junior Report, enjoy the opportunity to journalistically cover different works at the Poliorama theater thanks to the agreement with Top Grups, the company that is dedicated to managing audiences who are looking to go in groups to cultural events.

These actions outside the classroom are included in Junior Report GO, the parallel initiative to the RED work plan that wants to promote the consumption of culture among students. Participating in this type of actions is a guarantee of experiential learning and fun, since RED students work as authentic accredited professional journalists and publish chronicles and reviews in their school's school magazine and also in the Junior Report newspaper.
