It seems that from today we leave the summer temperatures behind and the autumn weather returns in the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, with precipitation and temperatures falling to reach the usual values for these autumn dates.
Rainfall will affect a good part of the Peninsula this Saturday and temperatures will drop, even noticeably, in the northern and eastern halves, while the heat risk warning will remain in place on several Canary Islands, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency. (AEMET).
Specifically, the risk warning (yellow) for temperatures of up to 34 degrees Celsius will remain active in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.
In the Cantabrian area the sky will be cloudy or overcast and with moderate rainfall. Very cloudy skies will also remain in the early morning with rainfall in much of the interior of the peninsula that will tend to subside throughout the day.
In the rest of the Peninsula and the Balearic Islands, the possibility of weaker and more dispersed showers will continue, while in the Canary Islands this Saturday will be marked for another day by slightly cloudy skies and with intervals of high clouds.
Daytime temperatures will decrease throughout the country except on the Mediterranean coast, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands, where they will remain with few changes, as will the nighttime temperatures. The temperature drop could be notable in the north and eastern half of the peninsula.
Finally, the winds will blow from the north throughout the extreme north of the peninsula, from the west in the southern half of the Mediterranean area, and from the east in the Canary Islands. In the rest, variable light winds will predominate.
