An 80-year-old man has died after crashing his car head-on into a tree on the CV-745 road, in the municipality of Benissa (Alicante), according to sources from the Alicante Provincial Fire Department Consortium.
The event occurred around 1:35 p.m. this Friday, when a car collided head-on with a tree on the CV-745, in the direction of Calp.
The old man who was driving the vehicle has been trapped and unconscious. Firefighters have released the man and have tried to revive him along with medical technicians. However, the doctor has certified the death of the man.
A headquarters command unit, a heavy rural pump, two various rescue vans, a sergeant, a corporal and seven firefighters from the Benissa and Dénia parks have participated in the intervention of firefighters. The Local Police and health personnel have also collaborated.
