Aigües de Barcelona has brought together the social services of 16 metropolitan town halls, including those of Badalona or L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, to reinforce dialogue, joint work and co-creation between the company and these town halls, with the aim of strengthening the attention to people and groups in vulnerable situations.
In a statement sent to the media, Felipe Campos, CEO of Aigües de Barcelona, underlined the importance of alliances and joint work with city councils: "I am convinced that through dialogue and active listening with local administrations , who are the most visible face in the daily attention to citizens, and specifically to people and groups in vulnerable situations, we will be able to contribute to improving the quality of life of all people and groups, especially those who They are in a vulnerable situation.
In this sense, "Aigües de Barcelona has renewed the agreement against energy poverty to guarantee water to those who cannot pay for it with 22 of the 23 metropolitan councils, except with the Barcelona City Council", indicated Felipe Campos.
Meritxell Farré, the company's director of Social Action and Participation, highlighted Aigües de Barcelona's commitment "to coordination and continuous dialogue with municipal social services, to provide quick responses and solutions to the people who need it most".
The work session revealed the firm will of the company to strengthen its proximity to the environment, through dialogue and cooperation with local administrations, in order to learn first-hand about the interests and needs of people in vulnerability situation. The objective is also to strengthen close links of active listening and debate on issues that have an impact and relevance for the company, in order to define social action programs.
