Shortly before midnight last Thursday, a woman died after being run over by the metro at the Gorg station in Badalona (Barcelonès Nord), on line 2. The victim was left stuck with one foot, the metro started up and she was run over.
The events occurred at 11:50 p.m. on Thursday when a woman who had just entered the platform of the Gorg metro stop in Badalona was left with her foot stuck in the gap between the entrance door to the train and the platform.
Attempts to get her foot out were unsuccessful and the train closed its doors and started without realizing that the woman had been trapped, so she was run over by the convoy.
As reported by the Badalona City Council, several teams from the Servei d'Emergències Mèdiques, the Fire Brigade and the Guàrdia Urbana went to the place, who could not do anything for the victim.
The Mossos d'Esquadra have taken charge of the investigation and are viewing the recordings of the security cameras. Although they do not advance any cause, they maintain the possibility that it is an accident.
