The Mossos d'Esquadra went this afternoon to a home in the Poble Sec neighborhood of the Catalan capital after receiving a call to 112 about an altercation in which an "exalted" man was causing disturbances.
Upon the arrival of the emergency services, the man proceeded to injure himself and in a struggle during the assistance intervention he suffered a fall and rolled down the stairs of the building where the events were taking place.
During the subsequent transfer by ambulance to a hospital, the man suffered a cardiorespiratory crisis and died without the emergency physicians being able to recover him with resuscitation maneuvers.
The mossos have opened an investigation to clarify the causes of the event.
