National Police agents have arrested 27 people in an operation that began in 2020 against the production, distribution and possession of child pornography, including one described as a "dangerous sexual predator" accused of committing more than one hundred crimes of grooming - virtual harassment of minors - from his home in Fuenlabrada (Madrid).
As reported by the Police, 26 home searches have been carried out in different locations throughout the country, in which 57 hard drives, 15 computers, 16 pen drives, three tablets, four mobile phones and a large number of storage media have been seized. that there would be thousands of files of child pornographic content.
This is an operation that began at the beginning of 2020 in which agents from the Central Cybercrime Unit and 14 territorial units have participated. According to the Police, it was necessary to invest all this time in the investigation to achieve full identification of some of the users, due to the identity concealment techniques they used.
One of the main targets identified, who acted from his home in the Madrid town of Fuenlabrada, turned out to be a "dangerous sexual predator" of minors who carried out his activity on one of the social networks most used by young people.
During the search of his home, there was evidence of the illicit virtual activity he was carrying out. To do this, he would have created various fake accounts in which he posed as an attractive young woman of whom a large collection of sexual images had been made and which she used as bait to start conversations with young men on the Internet.
In his profile, more than 380 conversations started with accounts of what were apparently minors have been located and after the initial viewing it was possible to verify their sexual intentions.
After examining the more than 47,000 messages and 688 photo and video files that were exchanged on the social network, it was determined that 109 of these conversations were held with minors between the ages of 10 and 16, of which the detainee was fully aware of age.
In addition, the arrested man recorded the conversations he had with some of his victims to later store them on his computer. Sexual files corresponding to other minors that would be used to deceive more victims were also located, as well as thousands of already known files of child sexual exploitation categorized in folders.
