These are the nominations for the Oscars 2023

The pools around the 2023 Oscars foresee a close battle between Everything at Once Everywhere, by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, and The Fabelmans, by Steven Spielberg, although always with the permission of the German company All Quiet on the Front, by Edward Berger, and the Swedish The Triangle of Sadness, directed by Ruben Östlund.

The 11 nominations for Todo a la vez en todos partes, a sci-fi comedy packed with action and martial arts, mean that it starts with the ring of favourite. Although he will face none other than Steven Spielberg, a regular at the Dolby Theater nominations in Los Angeles, and who has seven nominations with Los Fabelmans.

The one from Cincinnati has been nominated in six different decades since he opted for the Oscar for best film, for Jaws, in 1976. He has won the best director statuette twice (Schindler's List and Saving Private Ryan), although it has been nominated nine times. As best film, he has 13 nominations, although only one statuette, for Schindler's List.

These two great favourites, however, will face two European productions. The German All Quiet on the Front aspires to no less than nine statuettes, while The Triangle of Sadness aspires to three Oscars.
