The peculiar shawarma recipe that accumulates more than 50 million views on TikTok

TikTok has shown that it is much more than a social network where dances and other challenges are shared. After the app boom as a result of confinement, millions of people began to create all kinds of content, but one stands out above the rest: video-recipes.

It is increasingly common to use this app to find easy and attractive dishes, to the point that every week some preparation manages to go viral. This is the case of a spectacular shawarma recipe that has won the hearts of kebab lovers. Cooking it is not easy, but it is ideal to surprise and delve a little deeper into the world of cooking.

Chef Eman Ibrahim has published this delicious recipe that has caught the attention of his followers for breaking the rules. Instead of preparing an individual shawarma, the chef bets on going big, preparing a whole tray from which up to six diners can eat approximately.

In it, place a wheat flour tortilla base, leaving part of the tortillas outside the tray to fold them later. On top of the base, add an already cooked mixture of meat (chicken or pork), green and red peppers, onion and spices. His special touch? French fries, which he places just on top of the rest of the ingredients. To add juiciness, finish by covering everything with béchamel and grated cheese. Baked and done.

After the good reception of the video (more than 50 million views), several users have responded by showing their passion for the recipe. This is the case of Tiktoker Matty Sánchez, who has followed all the steps with emotion in another video: "My goodness... cheese lovers, you have to make this recipe."

This response clip has also been very well received, and between them they have more than 67 million views, almost ten million "likes" and thousands of comments. Among the most repeated, those that ask for the sauce recipe: "milk, nutmeg, butter, egg yolks, pepper to taste, salt and garlic to taste", writes a user. "A bomb for the health of those who suffer from cholesterol," says another with humor.

TikTok has opened up a new horizon for any user who wants to go viral, be it through choreography, impossible recipes or home hacks to keep the home as clean as possible with little effort.
