The Spanish Grosso Napoletano has been proclaimed the best artisanal pizza chain in the world and the first national representative in the '50 Top Pizza' ranking, which also includes the Spanish NAP Neapolitan Authentic Pizza and Can Pizza.

Specifically, Grosso Napoletano rose two places in this edition to lead this ranking and become the first non-Italian chain to occupy this position, surpassing the Neapolitan pizzeria Da Michele, which has a presence in different countries such as Spain, the United Kingdom and Japan, which placed second, while the group Big Mamma closed the podium, which is present in Spain with Villa Capri and Bel Mondo.

The co-founder of Grosso Napoletano, Hugo Rodríguez de Prada, has expressed his satisfaction with this award. "It is a real pride that the best experts in the sector thus recognize our product, in which all of us who are part of Grosso trust and bet day after day. We are completely convinced that we are capable of bringing the 'veracious Napoletana pizza' to everyone. the world, democratize it and give it its true place, recovering what industrial pizza has been taking away from us for years. A ranking of the 50 best artisanal pizzerias that includes two other Spanish pizzerias such as NAP Neapolitan Authentic Pizza, which is ranked 23rd with locations in Barcelona, ​​Madrid, San Sebastián, Bilbao, Formentera and Frankfurt (Germany).

For its part, Can Pizza, which has restaurants in El Prat, Universidad, Molins de Rei, Sagrada Familia, Poblenou, Vilanova and Badalona, ​​Ibiza and Madrid, rises five positions compared to last year, reaching 24th place. this ranking.

Grosso Napolitano, with only seven years of existence, ranks as the best Neapolitan artisanal pizzeria in the world. The chain, which has 40 stores spread across Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Seville, Murcia, Valencia, Zaragoza, Valladolid, Vitoria, San Sebastián, Pamplona, ​​Gijón, Santiago de Compostela, Vigo and A Coruña, plus a 'food truck', plans to reach the 100 stores in 2026.

The brand is working to close 2023 with 45 locations in Spain and has managed to go from selling hundreds of pizzas in its first location on Hermosilla Street in Madrid in 2017 to ending 2023 with more than two million pizzas sold.
