Pluto, a loving greyhound with terminal cancer, seeks to meet love with a family in Catalonia before dying

Pluto, a loving greyhound with terminal cancer, seeks to find a home in Catalonia before his time runs out. Despite his devastating diagnosis, Pluto has proven to be a resilient spirit who longs to share his life with a loving family who will give him the love and care he deserves.

It is a Maneto Andalusian Podenco, which was rescued by the animal association Proyecto Adopta when it was in deplorable conditions. Since his rescue, the association's team has fought tirelessly for his well-being. After undergoing medical tests, they received the heartbreaking news that Pluto suffers from terminal cancer, specifically lymphoma that affects several organs, including his spleen. The vets have given him about a year and a half to live, if all goes well.

The Proyecto Adopta association is committed to Pluto's care and has assumed responsibility for covering his expensive medical treatments, including the chemotherapy necessary to keep the growth of the tumors under control and preserve his quality of life in his remaining days. However, what Pluto really needs now is a loving home where he can share his final moments.

"We looked for a foster home near Òdena or Igualada, since the one he was in could no longer take care of him," the association explains. "He has been in foster care in Tarragona for three months and now he has started to live in a garage, which is like a room, but he spends much of the day alone and of course, he is not used to it."

Despite his circumstances, Pluto has proven to be an exceptionally affectionate and sociable dog. He loves the company of other dogs and, above all, cats, with whom he has lived without problems on several occasions. From Proyecto Adopta they assure that Pluto is "a very affectionate and lap dog", although he can show some growling when he needs space, however, he is not aggressive at all.

The association's team has a sincere wish: "We want what is left for him to be happy as he has been until now in his foster home." If you or someone you know is willing to open your heart and home to Pluto, you can contact the Proyecto Adopta association and be part of the life of this brave greyhound in his last days.
