The devotion, tenderness and loyalty that some pets feel for their owners are now a reason for sadness in the region of Nayarit, Mexico. Pinky, a Chihuahua breed dog, was stabbed to death by the criminal who broke into his family's house, which I do not hesitate to defend as a warrior, as described by his owners.
"He fought like a warrior as much as he could to survive and move on, but his little body couldn't take it anymore," the heartbroken family wrote on social networks. The thief noticed Pinky's presence, who immediately charged at him, stabbing him with a rake-shaped garden tool.
The dog did not die instantly, and could be transferred to a veterinary center where he was hospitalized for several weeks. Finally, and for unknown reasons, his health presented various complications that ended his life this past Thursday, February 23.
His family, who was also devoted to his four-legged friend, had created a page on the Facebook platform dedicated to the bravery of his dog, "Pinky the surviving warrior", and it was through this account that they mourned his death.
"We regret to inform you that two days ago our Pinky lost the battle. After five weeks of fighting for his recovery and when he showed the most improvement, he left this world," the family wrote in a statement posted on Facebook.
The attack occurred last month in a house in the Mexican municipality of Compostela. Despite being seriously injured in the back, a leg and a testicle, the dog's life did not seem to be in danger since his vital organs were intact. However, due to certain unknown medical circumstances, his condition was complicated and he could not save his life.
"He fought like a warrior as much as he could to survive and move on, but his little body couldn't take it anymore. He gave us happiness, joy and company. God have him in heaven as the little angel he was. We lost a brave man," she lamented disconsolately. the family through the Facebook page.
