Malgrat de Mar hosts the International Festival of Music Bands

Malgrat de Mar (Maresme) organizes a new edition of the International Music Band Festival (FIBM), which will take place from October 4 to 7. Eight music bands, eight folk groups and three older groups will participate. Every day in the afternoon there will be concerts and exhibitions in different spaces in the town and on Saturday the 7th, also in the morning.

In this year's edition, groups from the Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark, Croatia, Latvia, Austria and Spain participate.

The Festival will raise the curtain on Wednesday with a performance by folk groups from Estonia and Poland starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Parc de Can Campassol. At 5 p.m., there will be a concert with a Danish band on the Paseo Marítimo.

On Thursday, October 5 at 4:30 p.m., bands from Switzerland and the Czech Republic will offer a concert on the Paseo Marítimo and from 5 p.m. there will be an exhibition in the Church Square of folk groups from Valencia, Croatia and the Czech Republic. At 5:30 p.m. there will be a concert in Plaza Josep Anselm Clavé by bands from Switzerland, Poland and Denmark.

On Friday at 4 p.m. a parade will begin with the participation of all the folk groups and music bands from the Paseo Marítimo on the corner of Avenida de Països Catalans to the Plaza de la Iglesia. At 5 p.m. in Plaza Josep Anselm Clavé, there will be an exhibition of all the folk groups participating in the festival. At the same time, in the Can Campassol Park there will be an exhibition of all the music bands participating in the contest.

The last day of the festival, Saturday, will begin with an exhibition of all the participating music bands starting at 10 a.m. at the Parc Francesc Macià and will close with an exhibition of all the folk groups at 4:30 p.m. at the Francisco Macià Park.
