Luz Casal achieves a 'sold out' at the Liceu during Coldplay's night

While yesterday the Estadi Olímpic vibrated to the rhythm of Coldplay, Luz Casal also marked her own victory at the Teatre del Liceu, where she hung the sold out sign at the presentation of her latest work Las Ventanas de mi alma. A tour framed within the Suite Festival that she shares with artists such as Ara Malikian and Cepeda and that brings the singer back to Barcelona three years after her previous tour.

During her concert at the Rambla theater, the Galician singer satisfied her most faithful followers with a show without masks or artifice, where she passionately reeled off the twelve songs from her most intimate and naked album. A concert that she managed to get her own focus in Barcelona within the media night starring the British quartet Coldplay.

Luz has already filled the halls for her next three concerts in the country, which will take place at the Noches del Botánico Festival in Madrid (June 23), and at the Teatro de Cervantes in Málaga (June 29). On her tour there are other appointments scheduled in the Catalan territory, such as Cambrils (August 6), the Arts d'Estiu Festival (August 8) and Cap Roig (August 12).

Luz's voice is not only highly appreciated in Spain, but already in 2009 she was recognized with the official title of Arts and Letters in France. The former Minister of Culture, Frédéric Mitterrand, highlighted her at the time as "the icon of Spanish song much loved by the French".

This Tuesday the singer will travel to Paris while on tour, to receive the title of Commander of the Order, the highest of all. A recognition considered the highest distinction in France that iconic figures from the music scene such as Bob Dylan, David Bowie or Meryl Streep have received.
