Crianza de Pozaldez is an emerging winery in the Rueda Designation of Origin that arises from the interest in oenology of its two owners, Miguel Ángel Fernández and Ignacio Hernández.

Both friends and partners, managed in 2018 to make a dream come true that was born in their university days, when they studied Agricultural Engineering together. Miguel Ángel, owner of 32 hectares of vineyards of the Verdejo variety, carefully cares for his vines to select the best grapes and produce his first wine, Liberso.

For his part, Ignacio, with experience in wineries with appellations of origin such as Toro and Ribera de Duero, and after working in well-known prestigious wineries such as Protos, Pago de Carraovejas and Tomás Postigo, is in charge of making this curious, different wine. and fruit of the desire to discover the limits of a variety as versatile as the Verdejo.

With Liberso, Bodegas de Crianza de Pozaldez presents its first oenological proposal, which will undoubtedly appeal to the most demanding palates.

Liberso Curiosus

To obtain this 100% Verdejo wine, 18 different wines are made; the first of them aged with its lees for 6 months to preserve its naturalness.

Another 17 wines are also produced, fermented and aged for 6 months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels, but without losing the characteristic freshness and acidity of young white wines.

It is made from the Verdejo grape variety, which is grown in vineyards located at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level.

This wine has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections and offers intense and fresh aromas of tropical fruits and citrus, with herbaceous and floral notes. On the palate it is broad, balanced and persistent, with a long and fresh finish.

Liberso is an aged white wine that shows the influence of the barrel in its flavor and aroma, while maintaining the freshness and fruitiness of young white wines, which makes it ideal for pairing with fish, shellfish and rice dishes.

This wine is one of the protagonists of the Selección Blancos en Barrica de Gourmet La Vanguardia together with Mas d'en Compte of the Bodega Cal Pla del Priorat and the Vendimia Seleccionada de Castelo de Medina.
