Jaxon Feeley: the young man who put his house up for sale to save his dog's life

The purest and most sincere love always comes from our pets. They are there no matter what happens and always recharge us with positive energy. Many animal owners are capable of doing whatever it takes for the well-being of their furry companions.

But what Jaxon Feeley did is truly a moving display of love: the young man put his house up for sale to pay for his dog's medical treatment, according to Daily Mail.

It turns out that Rambo, his little dog, has been in very poor health for some time. That's why Feeley opened an account on GoFundMe, an American crowdfunding platform, to help his pet.

On January 20, 2023, Rambo “vomited more than 30 times during the night,” according to what his owner told the aforementioned British newspaper. The next day they had to go urgently to the vet and the diagnosis that Rambo received was not encouraging at all: the dog had gone into hypovolemic shock.

In addition to suffering from gastroenteritis, Jaxon's pet suffered serious consequences to his respiratory system. Not only did he develop pneumonia, but one of his lungs collapsed due to the fluid from the vomit, which ended up infecting his vital organs. After 10 days in intensive care, Feeley said he put his house up for sale to keep Rambo alive, Daily Mail reported.

Rambo's expensive care is around 23 thousand euros, so Jaxon had to seek financial help for his desperate situation. It was precisely at that moment that GoFundMe emerged like a light in the middle of the storm.

When Feeley started his online campaign, he was clear about his goal: to save, no matter what, the life of his faithful pet. And, against all odds, he has done it. The young man has collected almost 34 thousand euros.

“In the last 3 days, Rambo has achieved a miracle, hour after hour he has increased his oxygen efficiency, he started eating and drinking, his lungs are slowly recovering and we are starting to see that beautiful personality re-emerge. There are no words to express how grateful I am for everyone's love, support and donations over the past two weeks,” Feeley stated a few days ago via her Instagram account. Luckily he didn't have to sell his house and he sees how, little by little, Rambo recovers.
