There are animals that become much more than a pet. Sometimes they can become life partners. This is the case of Sox, a husky who has been part of his owner's impressive challenge to travel through the 50 states that make up the United States and visit all the natural parks in the country.

The story begins ten years ago, when Michael challenged himself to visit all the natural parks and protected reserves in the United States. To do so, this young man wanted to have his inseparable four-legged life partner named Sox. Not being able to afford a car or a van, the American decided to buy a motorcycle and teach the dog to ride it with him.

In this way, both undertook this curious journey that led them to run to the most remote places of the American geography. Michael combined his work as a skydiver with months on the road and in a tent.

In 2022, the curious couple planned to complete the challenge by visiting Alaska. However, things went wrong when Michael suffered a serious parachute accident. The unfortunate event caused him serious injuries, such as ten bone fractures, and among them, four vertebrae.

This caused Michael to almost completely lose his autonomy and the challenge was put on hold. In addition, the young man was worried about Sox's advanced age and it became increasingly clear to him that he would not be able to complete his goal with his faithful friend by his side...

However, Sox became an essential companion during the recovery process and an inspiration in rehabilitation. After months of much pain, physical exercise and, above all, sacrifice, Michael and Sox were able to rent a motorcycle and finally fulfill their dream of traveling through Alaska together, in what the human described as "a healing journey."

The emotional story of Michael and Sox has gone viral on social networks, after the account specialized in content related to companion animals, @dodo, shared his testimony on Twitter.
