Gender reveals are in fashion. It is a party in which family and friends gather to reveal the sex of the baby that is on the way. There are as many formulas for announcing it as there are ideas, although almost all of them include the color blue and pink, which have traditionally been identified with boy and girl, respectively.
That happy moment is usually shared on social networks, although it does not always go as planned and the sex of the baby is not known. This is what happened to an American couple, who chose to order a cake from a bakery. Inside, it should go with some color. But none of that.
The protagonists were preparing to find out the sex of the baby. Instead of using a knife to cut the cake, they opted to stab two glasses and see what color appeared inside. The moment was promising and their faces were impatient, but they were disappointed: the interior was cake of a neutral color, neither pink nor blue.
This couple decided to take the pastry mistake with humor. "When the bakery only has one job," they joke, adding some laughing emoticons, because in the end, although in a less fun way, they will end up finding out if what they are expecting is a boy or a girl.
TikTok users have not resisted commenting on the scene either. "Congratulations, it's a cake!" one jokes. Given the lack of color in the cake, another adds that, although they do not know the sex, it is surely a "white baby."
