Two-wheeled electric vehicles are emerging as the most suitable option for those drivers who want their trips to be comfortable, efficient, fast and, why not, also fun. In this sense, a new proposal comes from Ryvid, a scrambler-style electric motorcycle suitable for the city and outside of it.

Best known for being the creator of the popular Ryvid Anthem electric motorcycle, the manufacturer has just launched its second model based on the same platform: the new Outset. It is designed to offer motorcyclists a vehicle with a dual purpose, since it is designed not only for day-to-day urban trips, but also to be an all-terrain motorcycle during leisure time. And the Outset can travel comfortably on multiple roads and surfaces, not just asphalt.

Like the Anthem, Ryvid’s new proposal is manufactured on an ultralight folded metal chassis (instead of a tubular chassis). The Outset includes a similar 72V system as the Anthem and features the same small removable 4.3 kWh battery that can be recharged both at home and on the go. The autonomy varies depending on speed and terrain, but the brand assures that in Eco mode it can reach 120 km on a single charge.

The electric motor has a continuous power of 10 HP with the possibility of reaching peaks of 20 HP (7 and 14 kW, respectively). It generates 72 Nm of torque and provides a maximum speed of 120 km/h. It also has regenerative braking and reverse gear.

In terms of aesthetics, the Outset shares the DNA of its sister, although it presents its own characteristics that distinguish its adventurous spirit. For example, a seat height of 83 cm, a soft suspension and a narrow saddle, adaptable to a wide variety of riders.

The Outset has its own headlight and rear-view mirror design and wider handlebars. The riding position is also more upright, something that has required repositioning the footpegs forward and adding a longer footrest area. By eliminating the Anthem’s adjustable seat mechanism and using fewer materials in the body, a more economical model has been achieved.

“Since the beginning of Ryvid, our goal has been to offer the most affordable light electric vehicle on the market to a wide audience. To revolutionize the light electric mobility sector, it was essential not only to innovate our products but also our value commitment,” the company states.

The new Ryvid Outset will be offered at a starting price of 5,500 euros, while the Anthem will cost about 6,000 euros from now on. In the video attached to this article, you can see the new electric motorcycle in action.
