Viviana, the best friend of Edwin Arrieta, the Colombian surgeon allegedly murdered and dismembered by Daniel Sancho; She visited the set of And Now Sonsoles on Tuesday afternoon. The young woman seems to be the person who knows the most at the moment about the relationship they had, and she could have the keys to understanding this heinous crime.
According to the Colombian's friend, the relationship between the two was very complicated, as they argued constantly. However, one of his last trips to Madrid would have made the difference, perhaps being the key that would have motivated the crime in Thailand.
As Viviana revealed on the Sonsoles Ónega program, she met Edwin Arrieta through his running group and was a very believer. She never knew of his sexual orientation, but she did know of his close friendship with Daniel Sancho, a Spaniard with whom she was going to open a hamburger business that she was very excited about.
According to the surgeon's friend, he always referred to Sancho as his "partner" and "friend", and intended to move to Spain to "homologize his degree as a surgeon" and set up that gastronomic business with Daniel Sancho and other friends. There is also an image, dated December 2022, in which Arrieta can be seen in Spain with these partners.
In the month of April, Edwin Arrieta and Daniel Sancho made a getaway to Ibiza of which images have also been leaked. Now, it would be the month of June when they would coincide again, triggering the countdown to the event in Thailand. Arrieta was traveling to Spain again, this time for the opening of the hamburger shop where Daniel Sancho worked; a party attended by all of his closest friends as a show of support for his new project.
Days later, already in the month of July, both appear photographed in that same place in Madrid, where apparently they would also plan their trip to Thailand. There is even a video in which you can see the two together; with Daniel Sancho organizing the kitchen with the local employees, while Arrieta remains very close to them, another sign of the close relationship that existed between the two.
All this only reveals one reality: the surgeon would have hidden the true relationship he had with Daniel Sancho. The reason for this is unknown, but Viviana maintained in the interview that her friend always spoke in the plural of her "friends" in Spain.
What's more, in the days before the crime, Viviana assures that her friend was happy. She spoke with him when Arrieta was already in Koh Samui, and the surgeon had told her that she was very excited about that trip, which he had confirmed that she was doing with more people, not just with Daniel Sancho. "I never asked him who they were, and later we knew it was just Sancho."
