Two renowned collaborators join the team of 'La Plaza', Jordi González's new program on La 1

Spanish Television has made a strong commitment in all its slots to once again be one of the prominent names in the audience lists. The public channel has made important signings this summer, such as Jaime Cantizano for its new morning show: Mañaneros. Another figure who returned in recent months was Jordi González, who in addition to the Blood Ties debates will present a new program called La Plaza.

This new space, which will occupy the afternoon slot to face Y Ahora Sonsoles and TardeAR, will have a team entirely made up of female collaborators, among whom there are already confirmed notable names such as Terelu Campos, Mariló Montero and Juncal Rivero. Now, media such as YoTele and VerTele echo two other figures who will appear on the program soon: actresses Mar Saura and Rocío Madrid.

The first of the two new additions completely changes the register, despite already having experience in entertainment programs. Without going any further, Saura was co-host of Mírame on Antena 3 in the late 90s, along with Sílvia Jato. The Catalan interpreter has been one of the most prominent figures of national fiction on television screens, participating in series such as Ángel o demonio, El Ministerio del Tiempo or La que se cerca.

For her part, Rocío Madrid already has an extensive resume in studios and sets. The woman from Malaga made her debut on television as a regular collaborator of Crónicas Marcianas on Telecinco, in addition to being the presenter of the official Operación Triunfo channel during its initial stage. For some time now she has not appeared regularly on the screens, her last contribution on the air being her participation as a contestant in Your face sounds to me.

At the moment, La Plaza has its premiere scheduled for next Monday, September 25. However, the exact slot it will occupy in the programming is still unknown. Currently, La 1 has three spaces that are operating within their figures in terms of audience: La Promesa, El Cazador and Aqui la Tierra, something that makes it difficult to place another piece in this puzzle. However, there is a possible fit.

This would be in the two hours between La Promesa and El Cazador, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. To do this, RTVE would rule out the broadcast of two more projects that would already have their hours counted: the rebroadcast of La Señora and the contest El Comodín. The latter makes more sense for different sources, since its presenter, Aitor Albizua, is preparing the return of Cifras y Letras. Even so, it would still be necessary to also fit the new La Moderna Tea Room series.
