Travis Scott's concert in Rome leaves 60 injured due to a pepper spray incident

Travis Scott is one of the most popular rappers in the music industry. The American artist is immersed in his international concert tour presenting his latest album, Utopia. One of his most anticipated stops was in the Italian city of Rome.

At first the rapper was going to do a massive concert in front of the Pyramids of Giza, in Egypt. But on July 18, the country's musicians' union prohibited him from performing the show, alleging that the concerts that the rapper performed were contrary to the traditions of the place.

For this reason, the artist had to change locations at the last minute and chose the Circus Maximus in Rome as a substitute. The announcement of the new venue came on August 1, four days after the planned date for Egypt. This new location is one of the favorites for many of the international artists who have passed through the city, such as Guns N' Roses or Imagine Dragons.

This sudden change left many of the artist's followers eager to see their favorite artist, so the expectation for the concert in Italy was high. And although the concert was full of surprises, such as the intervention of Kanye West, the show ended in the worst way.

At one point during the event, someone in the audience at the Circus Maximus in Rome began pepper spraying the crowd that was there. A situation that left serious injuries, among which sixty of them needed medical assistance, as confirmed by the Rome civil protection department to CNN.

In addition, they also reported that a teenager had to be hospitalized after falling from a height of four meters. As revealed by the aforementioned medium, the 14-year-old fell while trying to escape the security of the venue to see the concert. But this incident was not the only thing that happened overnight.

As reported by Italian firefighters, that same night they received hundreds of calls from citizens concerned about whether an earthquake was taking place in the city. Everything turned out to be a false alarm and the tremors were due to the movement of the attendees during the concert, who did not hesitate to give their all to the rhythm of the artist's songs.
