Trailer for 'See you in another life', the series about the teenage accomplice of 11-M

“A lot of people died who shouldn't have died, but if you need the money, what do you do?” says a voice in the trailer for See You in Another Life. Thus, out of context, it may seem like a line from any television thriller, but it is not just any project. This Disney drama, written by brothers Jorge and Alberto Sánchez-Cabezudo, focuses on Gabriel Montoya Vidal, who collaborated in the 11-M attack in 2004.

The creators known for their work on Crematorium, a significant work of Spanish audiovisual production, are based on the book that Manuel Jabois wrote after meeting the man who, when he was 16, helped transport the dynamite with which the trains would be blown up. from Madrid.

The journalist was curious to know how a problematic teenager from a broken family ended up transporting explosive material. The trailer, for the record, already indicates where the shots are going: “I don't want to justify anything but we should see where we were coming from, right?”

According to those responsible for See You in Another Life, it is “a criminal chronicle where the everyday is what is terrifying. It tells how the lives of some petty criminals end in an enormous tragedy that even today has left a great wound in our society.”

To carry out this production with overtones of thriller and social drama, the Sánchez-Cabezudo filmed in Asturias and Madrid with Roberto Gutiérrez and Quim Ávila sharing the role of Gabriel Montoya Vidal, Pol López as Emilio Trashorras, Tamara Casellas as the mother of the protagonist and Mourad Ouani as El Chino, who was one of the leaders of the jihadist group.

It premieres on Disney on March 6.
