They had never heard Diana speak like this before: new audios of the Princess of Wales about her marriage to King Charles III come to light

Lady Di is back in the news. New fragments of the tapes that the princess recorded in the 90s will come to light in early 2024 in a documentary that promises to shed light on what happened between Diana of Wales and the British royal family.

The Princess of Wales left author Andrew Morton her innermost feelings on secret tapes, which later became the play 'Diana: Her True Story'. Now the story could continue.

As reported by Daily Mail, in the new audios Lady Di is heard revealing intimacies about Prince Charles, and discussing her bad relationship with her stepmother, Raine Spencer.

Tom Jennings, producer of both documentaries on the life of Diana of Wales, confesses: "It's a style of storytelling that's very difficult to do, but I think it's as close to the truth as you can get because nothing stands in your way. It's important, as part of Diana's legacy, to allow more of those tapes to be heard."

Diana of Wales recorded up to seven hours of audio while still married to the then Prince of Wales, Charles III. In one of the recordings, the princess claims that her husband told Raine Spencer at Prince Harry's christening: "We are very disappointed because we wanted a girl"; to which Diana replied, "You should realize you're lucky to have a son."

In her audios, Lady Di also talks about her stepmother, whom her father John married in 1976 after her mother abandoned her. Diana even said, "I hate you so much. If you only knew how much we all hate you for what you've done. You've ruined the house, you've spent Daddy's money. I said everything I could and Raine said, "You have no idea how much Pain your mother passed on to your father. I said, "Pain, Raine? That's a word you don't even know how to identify with. In my job and in my role, I see people suffer like you've never seen before. And you call that pain?" " I told him: "you have a lot to learn."

These audios come to light just one day after the 26th anniversary of Diana's death in a car accident.
