The woman who had a date with Matthew Perry a few hours before dying speaks: "He was very positive"

The death of Matthew Perry, who gave life to the charismatic Chandler Bing in the legendary Friends, has left millions of viewers around the world orphaned. Last Sunday the news of the death of the 54-year-old interpreter was known, who was found dead by his assistant in the jacuzzi at his home in Los Angeles.

Apparently, the actor had chosen to take a relaxing bath after spending a day with friends. Among others, with the model and journalist Athenna Crosby, with whom he enjoyed lunch and who has become the most wanted person as she is the last person who seems to have seen the unforgettable actor alive.

The model became the protagonist after the leak of an image of the date, in which both appeared talking, totally relaxed. After being identified, Athenna herself wanted to tell how her great friend was doing to put an end to speculation that points to her mental health as the cause of her unexpected death.

Crosby, 25, shared several images and videos through his personal Instagram account to clarify the situation after his name began to appear in international media. The model assures that she did not want to comment on the issue, but she was not going to allow the legacy of her death to be tarnished by unfounded rumors.

"All I will say is that I had the immense honor of knowing Matthew personally. I am devastated by his death. I did not want to speak, because the focus should not be on me, but on his legacy, family, colleagues and friends," she insists, adding that the actor was an "extremely private" person in his personal life, and always wanted to respect him.

"We were friends and I was one of the last people who spoke with him and saw him before he died," he began by explaining to the model, of Venezuelan origin, saying that they met for lunch at a popular hotel in the Bel-Air neighborhood. They had a good time there, with the actor very happy and positive, talking all the time very animated and almost not touching what he had to eat.

"I want to emphasize that Matthew was very happy and spoke to me with enthusiasm about the things that had to come in his life," he insists. For her, the performer was "very happy" after his fight against addictions, and he deserved nothing more than a return in style.

"Knowing that this man was about to return, he really deserved more time in this world," laments the actress. "Our entertainment industry has truly lost a legend."
