Rodolfo Sancho has already closed his return to television. The actor will return to the small screen with a new series, El Zorro, which will be released next January on the digital content platform Amazon Video and will subsequently be broadcast free-to-air on TVE.
A series of ten episodes that the actor recorded at the beginning of the year, still oblivious to the nightmare in which he was going to be involved with his son, Daniel Sancho, now accused of the murder of Colombian Edwin Arrieta in Thailand. However, the project is closed, and the actor must appear at the promotional events. Now, Sancho has already imposed a condition that will prevent attention from being diverted from the topic that interests him: the series.
The specific date on which the prison fate of Daniel Sancho will be known, still in provisional detention awaiting trial in Koh Samui prison (southern Thailand), is still unknown. However, with the prosecution meeting the estimated deadlines to establish its conclusions, everything seems to indicate that the trial could be held at the end of 2023 or the beginning of 2024.
A date that will coincide in time with the promotion period of Rodolfo Sancho's new series or its premiere. A moment in which both the protagonists, director and actors will have to make a short journey through different media to present the project. For this reason, the actor has already imposed an unavoidable condition: he will not grant interviews, even if they are part of his work.
In this way, Rodolfo Sancho tries not to divert attention from the series and, in the process, avoid talking about his son's legal case. Daniel Sancho is currently in a delicate situation on a legal level, as he faces nothing less than the death penalty. The media coverage of the case has helped in its beginnings, but the actor intends not to overshadow the project or his colleagues with details of the heinous crime.
A condition that seems, at least for now, to have been accepted by the digital platform, since it is not in good taste to relate a project to a murder case, even though the Spanish chef has not yet been tried.
For the moment, only the presentation of the series has been seen, which these days has been shown at the 39th Edition of MIPCOM Cannes 2023. An event to which three of its protagonists have moved, the actors Miguel Bernardeau, Renata Otni and Dalia Xiuhcoatl; who are already enjoying the charms of Cannes.
