The strategy of Daniel Sancho's lawyer to achieve his return to Spain: "The important thing is to get the photocopies of the procedure"

This Wednesday saw the long-awaited first visit of Rodolfo Sancho to his son Daniel in the Koh Samui prison, in Thailand, where he has been held for several weeks accused of murdering the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta.

The meeting between the actor and the cook, which lasted three hours, was marked by Rodolfo's subsequent statements to the media. Some words that have sparked great controversy despite offering his apologies to Arrieta's family. "You can take it as a misfortune or as a challenge," he has come to assure about the accusations to his own son.

On his visit to Thailand, Rodolfo Sancho has not been alone. Along with him is also in Koh Samui the defense of Daniel Sancho, personified in the media lawyer Marcos García Montes, who has detailed at the doors of the prison what his line of action will be from now on. The program Así es la vida, on Telecinco, has echoed his words.

"We have the team of lawyers already formed; today was our first interview with Daniel, he knew we were coming by phone, the embassy has behaved very well and the important thing is to get photocopies of the procedure for the strategy that we already have formed based on the leaks of the police," García Montes told the media.

The lawyer confirms that Daniel "has ratified" his hiring as defense, carried out by Rodolfo on his behalf, and assures that they will remain in Thailand "until Saturday." Marcos García Montes has also said that they still do not know "anything" about the police report that would now be in the hands of the Thai authorities.

Finally, García Montes explained that his objective was to obtain a sentence for Daniel Sancho that would allow him to return to Spain in a few years to continue serving it. "Our goal, not strategy, is a prison sentence that is likely to be in Spain in 4 years," he concluded.
