The new 'Grand Prix' already has a presenter: Ramón García returns to RTVE to lead the format

It's been a few weeks since the news became official: the legendary Summer Grand Prix returns to television this coming summer of 2023. It will be done by Televisión Española, the same group that launched the format in the mid-1950s. years 90 and that emitted until the year 2005.

The program had a second stage on regional television, much more ephemeral than the first, and has accumulated almost a decade and a half without being broadcast. For this reason, the new Grand Prix has had to face an update to the current times, eliminating one of its most recognizable icons: the heifer. But not everything is going to change since, as reported exclusively by El Televisero, RTVE has chosen Ramón García to present the contest in his new television tour.

The Basque communicator, who has presented the program En compañía on regional television in Castilla-La Mancha for several seasons, makes the leap to the communication group where he achieved the greatest successes of his career. In addition to the Grand Prix, García also presented What do we bet? on TVE's La 1 with Ana Obregón and under the production of the same company, Europroducciones.

However, similar to the previous stage of the programme, Ramontxu will not be alone in presenting the summer contest. The Bilbao native will be accompanied by another person who will act as co-presenter and whose identity has not yet been chosen, according to information published by El Televisero.

Although work is still being done to shape the new Summer Grand Prix, some of the novelties that the return of the format to the small screen will include have already been revealed. One of them, in the absence of a real heifer as before, will be the incorporation of the super heifer: one of the contestants from each team will wear a cow costume and act as a wild card.

On the other hand, unpublished tests will be released with respect to the already classic ones. In addition to mythical games on the program such as Crazy Trunks, Hot Potato or Cucaña, new video game competitions and others related to trap music or new technologies will be added, as has been revealed in recent weeks.
