Concern continues about the state of health of María Teresa Campos, who has been hospitalized since last weekend at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz in Madrid due to respiratory failure. The television forecast is reserved and it is her daughters, Carmen Borrego and Terelu Campos, who are in charge of updating how she is.
At 82 years old, María Teresa had already spent a long period of time away from the public spotlight, due to cognitive deterioration associated with her advanced age. This problem is what has prevented her from returning to television since her last public appearance, which took place just over two years ago.
The program Así es la vida, on Telecinco, has recovered that moment when the communicator stood in front of the camera for the last time. In March 2021, Mediaset announced the arrival of a new format presented by María Teresa, called La Campos Móvil.
The new program had the objective of interviewing different personalities on the move, since its set was inside a transparent truck that allowed the guest to see from the outside. However, only a single delivery of the space was offered, in which the interviewee was the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso.
Sandra Barneda, presenter of Así es la vida, remembered this last appearance on television by María Teresa Campos on Monday afternoon. "Since that moment, she has always wanted to return to say goodbye to her public, but her health problems kept her away from television forever," Barneda remarked.
After that first installment of La Campos Móvil, which was broadcast integrated into the final stretch of Sálvame, Mediaset announced the temporary suspension of the format. A return that never took place and that meant María Teresa's goodbye to television.
