Antonio David Flores and María Patiño have an appointment in court tomorrow, Friday. A few weeks ago, La Vanguardia exclusively published the opening of the process between the former Sálvame commentator and one of his regular presenters for an alleged offense of insult made with advertising.
The reason is the dissemination of some information by Patiño in his other program, Socialité, where he assured that Antonio David had been responsible for placing the posters in which he was accused of being an abuser. The presenter came to affirm that there were images that corroborated it.
Given this information, the television station decided to sue the journalist. It has been exactly one year since Patiño's initial statement before the judge took place for what Antonio David's defense considers "crimes of libel, slander and obstruction of justice."
Now, when 365 days have passed since that episode, the trial between the two will be officiated. However, the opening of it has already caused a harsh consequence for María Patiño: the presenter has been forced to pay a deposit of 120,000 euros as compensation for damages, something to which, for the moment, she has flatly refused. .
Just a few hours before the summons takes place, Antonio David Flores himself wanted to send a message to María Patiño through her social networks. In them, the former civil guard has reminded the journalist of her appointment with the courts and has sent her a harsh message. "You like to play provocation, defamation, insult, slander, harassment, incitement to hatred," said the television.
Antonio David has also affirmed that Patiño's practices conform "to what is contained in the code of ethics" of Mediaset and has asked him to "stop now". Finally, he throws the accusing finger at María: "You have a pending appointment where you already know; don't forget the videos where you see me sticking the posters with my photo and the word 'abuser'", the statement from him concluded.
