The arrest of the priest in Malaga for sedating and sexually abusing at least four women - facts that he recorded and that his romantic partner discovered on a computer in the home they both shared in Melilla - has caused a great stir.
In fact, in the last few hours new information has emerged about how the events allegedly perpetrated by Father Fran became known. So much so that Toñi Moreno even paralyzed her program on Canal Sur while she was interviewing a journalist on the case, to make way for an unexpected guest. It was the priest's ex-girlfriend, who denounced him for the aforementioned events.
It all happened when Toño Moreno was interviewing a journalist who gave more details about the case of the priest Francisco Javier C., better known as Father Fran, during his program Today, on Canal Sur.
At one point, the presenter blurted out: "Excuse me?" Her face was surprised. "Oh! They are telling me... Okay, one thing. I am going to ask you now not to intervene, because they are telling me from management that the father's ex-girlfriend, the priest, wants to talk and only wants to talk to me. "I'm going to give way. I don't know what her name is, I'm going to call her María," he explained.
On the other side, the woman couldn't stop crying and could barely speak a word. "Let's take our time, María. I thank you very much for coming in," Moreno told her, reminding the audience that the guest's voice had been distorted to preserve her identity as she was the person who betrayed and denounced the priest.
A few moments later and after taking a breath, Father Fran's ex-girlfriend said: "I only ask that you respect my space, that you no longer knock on the door of my house. I have the journalists at the door of my house and inside the portal. Please "Toñi, I need you to respect me, I understand your work, but I can't take it anymore."
For his part, Toñi Moreno tried to exonerate his team by wanting to cut her off, since they are not stationed at the doors of her house. However, the woman insisted on ending the telephone intervention: "For my health, for my psychological problems, for my family and for my neighbors... There is a lot of information that is true and many others that are not."
