Chelo García Cortés is experiencing a somewhat complicated moment in his life. The journalist and Sálvame collaborator is still recovering from the fatal fall that took place last May 2022 at Sálvame Fashion Week, and for which she was scheduled to undergo surgery this Wednesday.
Shortly after this event it was also known that Marta Roca, Chelo's wife, had suffered another fall at her home. The journalist tried to downplay the matter by saying that it had been "a silly accident at home", but she had to spend some time using crutches to walk normally.
Coinciding with the time of García Cortés' operation, Marta Roca spoke with a Sálvame team live, led by Omar Suárez and doctor Jesús Sánchez Martos. Thus, Chelo's wife has been able to give an account of the last hour on the state of health of the collaborator, who has been operated on in a hospital in Madrid.
Chelo's wife began by noting that both are "very happy" after the operation. "Dr. Sandoval has called her again and he takes care of her all day," she assured, in relation to her doctor who has been in charge of installing a prosthesis in her hip to be able to fully recover from her fall. .
According to his wife, Chelo is right now "a little drunk from the medicines and that", as he said, trying to add a little humor to this moment of general concern for his health. "He was fighting with the nurses because he wanted to get up. I think he gave him some medicine", he continued right after.
During this recovery process, Marta Roca has revealed, again with a laugh, that she has "lost a kilo and a half putting up with it", to later add: "After 33 years, what am I going to do?" Lastly, she thanked Sálvame for the interest of Chelo's colleagues in her name. "I was very excited because the whole team was asking about her," she has sentenced.
