The difficulties continue around the new lace of the Dukes of Sussex and their children in the next big event for the British royal family: the coronation of Carlos III, which will take place on May 6. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received invitations to the ceremony, and now a source close to the couple has slipped to OK! that they would be in negotiations so that their children - Archie, three years old and Lilibet, one year old - are included in the protocol of the celebration.
According to The Times, the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton —Prince George, 9; Princess Charlotte, 7; and Prince Louis, 4, will be in quite the spotlight as they will take part in the procession back to Buckingham from Westminster Abbey by carriage after their grandfather and Queen Camilla are crowned. Other members of the royal family, such as Princess Anne or the new Duke of Edinburgh, will participate in the same procession, but Meghan and Enrique or their children are not expected to participate in the official documents.
It is also unclear if the Sussexes will be invited to pose on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after that procession. They were already parted from this colorful tradition during Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee, but now, the same sources reveal OK! that the Sussexes would like to pose for the photo with their family, the one that they have criticized so much for being racist, ruthless and abusive.
Some media continue to doubt Enrique and Meghan's attendance at the ceremony if the British royal family finally does not give in to their requests, but their absence at the coronation would be a scandal and the end point in their relations with the Windsors. Enrique would overshadow his father's big day if he does not appear at Westminster Abbey, and Meghan's absence would leave her with no more material to continue telling the adventures and misadventures of a princess by surprise.
After the resignation and the multiple revelations about the privacy of the British royal family, Meghan and Enrique have become uncomfortable guests.
