Last Tuesday, viewers witnessed the changing weather in Cayos Cochinos while Carlos Sobera gave way to Laura Madrueño in Survivors: No Man's Land. In just a few seconds, the sky turned gray and a monumental and unexpected tropical storm fell that chilled the presenter to the bone.
And it is that, in recent days, this part of Honduras is experiencing its season of continuous rains and strong storms, extreme conditions that are making life impossible for the contestants of the Telecinco reality show. “It's not my normal environment”, some of them peek into saying, disbelieving the havoc that bad weather is causing them.
Those who think that the contestants of Survivors do not suffer all kinds of vicissitudes for participating in the program, are wrong. Apart from the lower intake of food, caused, for example, because there is not enough fishing, the infinity of mosquitoes or the reward tests that leave the robinsons at the limit of their strength, time is another of the determining factors that causes greater troubles upside down to the inhabitants of Cayos Cochinos.
In fact, the rain has become the true protagonist of the program: the strong storms in this Honduran location are wreaking havoc on the robinsons. When it seemed that it was a matter of hours, the storm worsened with force.
So much so that the tide has risen exponentially, flooding the Royales' camp and wetting their personal belongings. And the fire did not reach thanks to the quick reaction of the inhabitants of Playa Royal who put the embers in a bucket. "Everything is soaked," several of them could be heard saying as they tried to keep the water from soaking the mats.
“The water is arriving here, we are going to freak out, the one that comes over there is not even half normal”, commented Jonan while observing the horizon and the storm that was about to reach them.
When that moment arrived, the survival conditions became extreme and the contestants cried out for help. "We are going to go to hell in zero comma," they said. “It is being the worst night of my life: cold, rainy, with my feet full of sand, with wet clothes. And now sleeping in the rain”, assured Raquel Arias. "It's incredible," Sergio Garrido also said, who was trying to breathe before what was coming.
For their part, the Fatales also suffered the consequences of the storm and ended up waking up without being able to go back to sleep. “We don't rest, we don't eat… Yuck. This is worse than not eating. This really makes me sick, ”Diego released. "The toughest edition of Survivors", Ginés stressed at another time.
