The coincidence that puts Rodolfo Sancho back on the screen: 'La Señora' returns to La 1

Televisión Española is in a transition stage in terms of its audiences. Despite not encountering as many difficulties as in previous years, there are certain spaces and productions that have not just given them enough figures. This seems to be the case of El paraíso de las señoras, an Italian fiction based on the novel by Émile Zola that had previously premiered on À Punt and TV3. A series that already has an unexpected replacement.

And it is that La 1 has promoted in recent days the return of La Señora, one of the most outstanding successful series of the public channel's programming. Originally produced by Diagonal TV and broadcast between 2008 and 2010, it will be broadcast again starting this Monday, August 7, at a rate of five episodes per week, starting at 5:30 p.m. A series that has a protagonist whose name has gained relevance in recent hours: Rodolfo Sancho.

La Señora tells the story of an impossible love, led by two young people from very different social classes. On one side is the Marquise de Castro, Victoria Márquez de la Vega (Adriana Ugarte), a woman who has grown up in a bourgeois family. On the other, there is Ángel González Ruiz (Rodolfo Sancho), who was orphaned as a child and who inherited the hard-working commitment of his father before becoming a priest.

The production has three seasons and a total of three seasons and 39 episodes, which will give Televisión Española the chance to cover eight weeks of the afternoon slot. The public channel's intention is to launch its new show, which will compete against TardeAR on Telecinco, once the broadcast of La Señora has finished. For its part, El paraíso de las señoras will go to RTVE Play, staying at episode 87, far from the 860 it accumulates in total.

With this revival of La Señora en La 1, the curious coincidence occurs that Rodolfo Sancho adds another production to Spanish screens in the midst of one of the most difficult moments of his life. The Madrid actor witnessed this past weekend the confession of his son Daniel, who confessed to having murdered the Colombian surgeon Edwin Arrieta Arteaga in Thailand.

Rodolfo issued a statement in the last few hours asking for respect for his son "in these moments of confusion", as well as sending a message to the media to "refrain from issuing any hasty judgment", as well as publishing information "that could interfere in the development of Justice and in the correct procedure of the investigation, as well as any diplomatic action that could be in progress”.
