The loss of the parent caught them by surprise, since it was he himself who went to the airport to pick up Raquel Meroño and her daughters. ''El Meroño was the most enjoyable and optimistic person I've ever met in my life, those who knew him know what I'm talking about. His passions were his family and sports and he gave himself to us body and soul helping me raise my daughters with absolute dedication and love,'' she said.
Finally, Meroño wanted to have a few words of thanks for his father, while making him a promise.
